Irrigation Systems

Custom Sprinkler & Drip Irrigation Design and Installation

A well-designed irrigation system keeps your lawn green and your garden beds thriving—without the hassle of dragging hoses around all summer. We design and install complete irrigation systems tailored to Edmonton's climate, soil conditions, and your property's unique layout.

Whether you're adding irrigation to a brand-new landscape or want a system designed alongside your full yard build, we handle everything from zone planning to final testing.

Why Install an Irrigation System in Edmonton?

Edmonton's short, intense growing season and heavy clay soils make consistent watering critical—but hard to do by hand. A properly designed irrigation system solves that:

  • Consistent coverage: Every zone gets the right amount of water on a set schedule—no dry patches, no overwatering

  • Water efficiency: Targeted sprinkler heads and drip lines use less water than manual watering, reducing your utility bill

  • Healthier lawns and plants: Consistent, deep watering promotes stronger root systems, especially important in our clay-heavy soils

  • Hands-off convenience: Set your schedule and forget it—your system runs automatically, even when you're away

  • Protects your investment: You spent good money on sod, plants, and landscaping—irrigation keeps it all looking its best through Edmonton's hot, dry summers

What We Install

Sprinkler Systems

Complete in-ground sprinkler systems with pop-up heads, rotors, and matched precipitation zones. We design each system around your property's shape, sun exposure, and soil type to ensure even coverage with zero runoff.

Drip Irrigation

Low-volume drip lines for garden beds, tree wells, planters, and shrub areas. Drip irrigation delivers water directly to the root zone—ideal for flower beds and plantings where overhead spray causes waste or disease.

Brands We Work With

We use professional-grade irrigation products trusted by contractors across North America:

  • Hunter — Industry-leading rotors, spray heads, and controllers

  • Rain Bird — Reliable valves, nozzles, and drip systems

  • Toro — Durable sprinkler heads and precision nozzles

  • Irritrol — High-quality valves and controllers

  • Regency — Quality irrigation components and fittings

  • HydroRain — Set it and forget it wireless controller

Smart Controllers

Wi-Fi-enabled controllers let you manage your entire system from your phone. Adjust schedules, monitor water usage, and respond to weather changes without touching the controller box.

The Hydro-Rain HRC 400 Smart Irrigation Controller, powered by B-hyve, combines the easiest-to-program controller on the market with the remote capabilities of Bluetooth and wifi.

Our Design & Installation Process

  • 1. Site Assessment & Design

We start with your property's plot plan and assess soil type, grade, water pressure, and sun/shade zones. Every system is custom-designed—no cookie-cutter layouts.
We have access to spray heads ranging from 2 to 50+ feet, depending on coverage required.

  • 2. Zone Planning

We divide your yard into zones based on plant type, sun exposure, and water needs. Lawn zones get sprinkler heads. Garden beds and planters get drip lines. Each zone is independently controlled for precision watering & duration.

  • 3. Professional Installation

Our crew trenches, lays mainlines and lateral pipes, installs heads and emitters, and connects everything to your water supply and controller. We test every zone before we leave.

  • 4. Walkthrough & Programming

We walk you through your controller, explain your zone map, and set your initial watering schedule based on Edmonton's seasonal needs.

Pair It With Your Landscape Project

Most of our irrigation installs happen alongside a full landscape build—and that's the best time to do it. Running irrigation lines before sod, plantings, and hardscape go in means less disruption and lower cost than retrofitting later.

Already have a finished yard? We can still design a system, but trenching through existing landscaping adds complexity. If you're planning a new build or renovation, now is the time.
